INDIA LIFTS ASIA CUP

DUBAI : India defeated Bangladesh by three-wickets in a thrilling final to lift the Asia Cup at Dubai International Stadium here on Friday evening.

Chasing a modest target of 223, India raced home on the last ball of their innings for the loss of  seven wickets.

Rohit Sharma [48], Dinesh Karthik [37]  MS Dhoni [36] were main run getters for the winners.

The match turned nail-biter as the Bangladesh were able to get breakthrough by taking back-to-back wickets in the middle of the game.

Kedar Jadhav [23] and Kuldeep Yadav [5] who remained undefeated, helped India achieve the victory target when India lost seven wickets giving a hope to the Tigers.

Previously, Bangladesh have beaten India in only 5 of the 34 one-day internationals.
