Jos Buttler scored his 5th ODI century

Sydney: England beat Australia by 16 run in the third ODI match on Sunday, to get an unassailable 3-0 lead in the series.

This was England's 18th victory in their last 20 completed one-day matches and described by captain Eoin Morgan as "their best win as a group to date".

Wicket Keeper Jos Buttler scored an unbeaten 83-ball hundred as he and Chris Woakes (53 not out) lifted the visitors from 189-6 in 38.1 overs to a total of 302-6.

In reply Australia lost David Warner early but Aaron Finch (62) and Mitch Marsh (55) kept things going.

England kept getting wickets at regular intervals to keep the hosts run rate in control and dismissed Marcus Stoinis at 56 in the final over as Australia fell short to 286-6 in 50 overs.
