Islamabad : Minister of State for IT and Telecom has said that the IT ministry is  rigorously pursuing  accelerated digitisation and is committed-

To increasing IT exports to $10 billion by 2020 through dynamic and vibrant policy measures.

She stated this while chairing a board of directors meeting of the Pakistan Software Export Board  [PSEB]  on Tuesday.

The minister boasted that the government had created an enabling environment for the IT industry and small and medium enterprises in the information technology sector.

''Pakistan's  IT  remittances have grown phenomenally over the past few years,'' she said, adding the industry was now focusing on increasing exports.

''We have initiated different support prgrammes including participation in International exhibitions by local companies, local IT-based events, meetings with foreign investors, CMMI training and certification-

Capacity building through internships and trainings, infrastructure development projects and special incentives for start-ups to encourage innovation and entrepreneurship.''

She urged IT companies to report their foreign remittances under the State Bank of Pakistan's  specified procedure so that an accurate picture of IT exports could be painted.
