One Sixth Of World Wide Deaths Are Related To Pollution


Pollution is the cause of one sixth deaths in the entire world, according to an estimate.

The Lancet report which analysed the 2015 data showed that an estimated nine million people died worldwide that year.

Air pollution claimed about a whopping 6.5 million lives and water, soil, chemical contributed for the rest.

The developing world and low-income areas suffered the highest percentage of pollution related deaths and in countries like - India, Pakistan, China, Bangladesh, Madagascar and Kenya - as much as one in every four deaths is related to pollution.
