LONDON' S MODEST FASHION FESTIVAL

The first ever London Modest Fashion Festival was nothing less than a style revolution.

Fashion Junkies, take note! It seems like dressing modestly is all the rage these days. Well, at least in the fashion world. Don't believe us ?

London has just witnessed its first ever, full-fledged fashion event dedicated solely to modest clothing.

The much awaited festival was held at the Grosvenor House Hotel in the British capital last Saturday evening, with an ambitious aim of empowering Muslim women across the world at its heart, reported Daily Mail.

The London Modest Fashion Festival was founded by two Muslim women, namely human rights barrister Sultana Tafadar and London based doctor Farheen Mir.

The enterprising women both claim that those who choose to cover most of all their bodies are not  ''adequately catered for''  by designers.

For this very reason, Tafadar and  Mir launched the event, wanting to change perceptions regarding Muslim women and ensure  ''the permanent presence of modest fashion in the main stream industry.''

Tafadar and Mir stress that modest dresses are not  just  women from ''particular religious and cultural identities''  and should be    ''celebrated and empowered and supported to make their own choices''............
