Ronaldo named world player of year

Real Madrid forward Cristiano Ronaldo won his second consecutive Ballon d'Or, and third in all, beating Barcelona striker Lionel Messi into second again, and Bayern Munich keeper and World Cup winner Manuel Neuer into third place.

Ronaldo claimed 37.66 % of the votes, Messi got 15.76%, Neuer 15.72% and 30.86% went to other players.
