Hong Kong Student Protest Leader Breaks Hunger Strike: Reports

(Sputnik) — Student protest leader Joshua Wong broke his hunger strike Saturday following 110 hours of no food and water amid ongoing demonstrations demanding full universal suffrage, the South China Morning Post (SCMP) reported.

"After more urging from medical staff and seeing [Wong] being extremely weak to the point of breaking, he has ceased his fast," Scholarism activist Derek Lam Shun-hin was quoted as saying at a press conference by the newspaper.
