Mexicans protest over missing students

Nov 06, Mexico: Tens of thousands of protesters took to the streets of Mexico City demanding the return of the 43 missing students after police arrested main suspects including a former mayor and his wife.

The demonstrators held the pictures of the missing students and chanted "they took them alive, we want them alive."

Organizers said 120,000 people marched in the latest protest over the case while police counted 60,000.

On 26th September, the students went missing in Iguala where they came to hold a protest for what they considered discriminatory hiring and funding practices by the government, only to be intercepted by police and a confrontation ensued.

6 students were confirmed dead and 43 went missing.
