Palermo's Three-Piece Wedding Dress

OLIVIA PALERMO's wedding dress has been the source of speculation for months - with almost every designer whose dresses she wears, from Cavalli to Valentino, touted as the eventual designer. But this weekend all the questions were answered: the bride wore Carolina Herrera.

In line with her preppy-with-a-twist off-duty style, Palermo chose a classic full-skirted silhouette, but what looked like a very traditional gown was in fact a light cashmere sweater and tulle skirt, worn over delicate coordinating shorts. Her shoes also ticked traditional and quirky boxes, being the same Manolo courts that Carrie Bradshawmarried in at her civil ceremony for the Sex and the City movie, (not bought especially for the occasion, but in fact an old favourite) and also provided her essential "something blue".
