Whoopi Goldberg, Barbara Walters Upset With ABC The View Wasn't Represented at 2014 Oscars: It's "a Crying Shame"

Whoopi Goldberg was a presenter at the 2014 Oscars on Sunday, but her fellow co-hosts from The View were nowhere in sight at the show or the red carpet leading up to it.

And that didn't go unnoticed! Whoopi and veteran journalist Barbara Walters both spoke out against their parent network ABC Tuesday during their famed "Hot Topics" segment for seemingly not inviting The View to cover and attend the Academy Awards.

"It was a shame to walk down that carpet to see every other daytime show represented except Rachael Ray and we weren't there," said Whoopi, who introduced Pink and her Wizard of Oz tribute performance. "I hate to ring my own bell, but what the hell? The View is the only show that has an Oscar winner [she earned a Best Supporting Actress Academy Award for her role in the 1990 film Ghost] on the panel, and I thought it was a crying shame that we weren't there."
